Protect and Defend

Welcome to my blog, Protect and Defend. You don’t have to understand me. You only have to agree with me. I can live with losing the good fight, but I can not live with not fighting that good fight at all. - Publius

Crazy Christians

Is it just me or does this remind anyone of the Crusades when Europe sent an army of Children to retake Jerusalem?
Yeah, it didn’t end so well that time either.

Thanks you Mykiss for bringing this little gem to my attention.

Every side has their wackos...that is some scary stuff. The whole "THIS MEANS WAR!!!!" thing was creepy. I'm all for being right with Jesus, but these folks have gone over the edge, imho.

Another episode of "When good ideas go bad". Beware of anyone declaring they are going to war for Jesus. It seems to me they miss the meaning of the words of Jesus entirely. This video made me think of what a Hitler youth camp might have been like.

I have seen a lot of clips from this recently, and have seen the woman featured come out to try to defend herself and what she's doing.

This is why Christians get a bad name. This is not faith. It's not religion. It's not Christian.

It's brain-washing. It's child abuse.

It's sick and it's wrong.

I imagine the same thing is going on with Muslim youths as well in other countries. But, when you see it is happening with little Christian kids here in America, it looks really scary. I remember being in a Baptist summer day camp as a kid and we sung “Onward Christian” soldiers and “The Lord’s Army,” but this goes well beyond that.

That one little section - painted faces, camos, pointed sticks - looks verrrrry "Lord Of the Flies" to me, now that I look at it again.

Scary stuff. Somebody call DYFS!
