Protect and Defend

Welcome to my blog, Protect and Defend. You don’t have to understand me. You only have to agree with me. I can live with losing the good fight, but I can not live with not fighting that good fight at all. - Publius

Eva Longoria

Now I have never thought that the Desperate Housewives star was all that attractive and quite undeserving of all the attention. And now we get to see her without all the make-up and my suspicions are confirmed.

I don’t know what it was; maybe she just didn’t get in the makeup chair that morning. I do like to see those who get fawned over by the media not looking their best because hopefully it reminds them that in the scheme of things they are not nearly as important as they thing they are.

Well QD the media is not fawning for Ingrid so it is not the same. In fact if they are like you and me they probably feel bad for her.
Brooke, High Definition television is going to destroy a lot of careers once we see the pock-marks and wrinkles on some of these stars.

Nah, 3 1/2 inches of spackle and greasepaint will solve that problem! LOL!

Brooke, it doesn’t matter how much make-up, spackle, or grease they use, it is all going to come out in HD.

THe funny part about this is that even without her make up, and the fact that she is caught making a goofy face, she's still better looking that most of us could ever hope to be. Some people are smart, some people are talented, and some people are beautiful. I'm sure Eva will be crushed to know that she's not worshipped here at Protect and Defend. And with HD, there will be no problem covering things up. In the latest X-Men movie they used a new digital manipulation technique that allows them to cover up minor flaws or make someone appear younger. Patrick Stewart never looked so good. You'd better believe that will be employed in TV when the costs come down.

But anon, that is an editing technique and not something that is going to be used for Live programming like say the Academy Awards or news conferences or most anything really where the company does not want to pay the time or money to fix the faces of stars when it is so much more fun to break them down then to protect their egos – unless it is Tome Cruise.
And Eva sent me an email and sad she was saddened by the response to her here on this site.

Please forward that e-mail along, as I would love to see it. Live tv won't be a problem. They'll all have riders calling for no close ups, and bowls of all yellow m&m's.

Anon, I would forward you the email, but Eva asked that I keep her email address private. Perhaps you would prefer that I just pass along her words?

Wow. You really got an email from Eva? That's kinda cool.

Hmmm... wonder how Salma Hayek looks without makeup... Naw.

QD, no I didn’t really get an email from Eva. I hope you didn’t believe that. If you did than perhaps you would be interested in some oceanfront property I own in Arizona???
