-Recently judged the most popular quotation of modern times in a poll by the editors of The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations (Washington Post, June 4, 2006).

Boy, you can extrapolate that little quote nugget into a ton of things. I always wonder about these guys that get attributed authorship of thes quotes...
Did they actually write them? did the speechwriter put it in at the last minute?.. or was it a trully off the cuff moment.....

Glad you asked that Truth. “Kennedy attributed (the quote) to British philosopher Edmund Burke…Even though it is clear now that Burke is unlikely to have made this observation, no one has ever been able to determine who did” (Washington Post, June 4, 2006).
