Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

Somehow Brangelina named their baby girl after a Civil War Battle in Tennessee in April of 1862.

But, this is better. After the birth of what can only become the most attractive girl of all time, “Samuel Nuuyoma, the governor of the Erongo province, where parents Angelina Jolie and Brat Pitt are staying, described the scene to US Weekly: “I have been inundated with phone calls from Namibians all over the country who heard the news and the people are celebrating in the streets, and special prayers have gone out to them in churches. On behalf of the Erongo region, it is an honor and privilege for us to have had Angelina in our land at this special time…Just like Angelina, this precious Namibian-born baby will be our ambassador. This family has opened the doors for us to the world, who now look upon Namibia with new eyes” (Washington Post, May 29, 2006).

What’s worse, that this country’s big historical event is that some actress and actor had their baby in their country or that we even care? And Shiloh? Really?

Well Shiloh is also the name of the town where the battle occurred, not just the battle. And why would they pick a Hebrew name? I didn’t think either of them were Jewish. Or is it similar to Tom and Katie picking a Hebrew name too when he is a Scientologist and she is a Catholic?
What ever happened to normal names like Apple or Penn Jillette’s daughter Moxie Crimefighter Jillette.

"Nouvel" is French for new. Shiloh means "he who is to be sent" in Hebrew. It also can mean "peace."

So, are Jolie and Pitt trying to say that their baby is the "new peace?"

Oh, celebrities.....
