9-11 Is All a Conspiracy?

I have been having a quite lively debate with bob h about 9-11 as part of the “I thought Martin was the Crazy One” post.
I had no idea this was even up for debate. Bob, if you read this top post perhaps we can get others to join in too because as it appears I have not done enough to support my belief that the government could not and would not lie to us in this magnitude. I am not a physics or engineering major so I can only go with logic and reason, but perhaps someone can add some science to the discussion.

It's topics like this that keep people away from the real issues, like that uppity stripper at the Duke party, keeping illegal immigrants (criminals) out by any means neccessary, and burning down the ACLU.
Today, like every day, I'm going to look up with pride at my Southern Cross, and remember a time before the "melting pot" started bubbling all over our nice white stove.

Not exactly sure what that post had to do with the topic.
I did want to find out if there were others out there who believe 9-11 was some sort of government cover-up and that what we were told about that day was all false.

Thanks Publius for concidering this topic. I think the first post is being sarcastic because while illegal immigrants are a huge problem and the Aclu are the scourge of the U.S., I concider what the government is doing is going to destroy this country. Our only line of defense is the media and they seem to be complicite.
How else do you explain that we have weeks of 24 hour coverage on a missing blond in Aruba. While the alledged rape of a stripper is no small matter, what does it have to do with us and is it really of national interest?
Congress seems more concerned about how long Dick Cheney took to notify them about his accident than why 3,000 people were allowed to die on 9/11. Look how long it took Congress to even become aware of the immigration problem. What have they done about health care costs, environment, outsourcing, insourcing, crime, campaign finance, lobbyists owning law makers etc?
I don't think it's coincidence that as soon a Charley Scheen draws some attention to 9/11 he is immediately attacked from all sides and vilified.
While the public is kept busy arguing over immigration, gay marriage, church and state, etc. the country is systematically being sold out from under us. The more polarized we become the easier it is to stiffle any argument to the status quo.
Lest you think I'm a Bush bashing liberal, I voted for him twice. I also voted for Clinton once and Perot. I want what's best for the country. I just hope I can get a few good Americans to look beneath the surface of the manufactured problems to root of this evil. Thanks for giving me the time.

Bob, of course, I am glad that there are some people who are concerned with the state of affairs in this country, and I would rather there be a discussions about important matters like this than on much of what is considered news. I think one of the problems is that too many people are too concerned with trivial matters like Paris Hilton and Angelina Jolie.
At the same time, Sheen was not attacked in the media as a consequence of his comments on 9-11, this was more to do with the timing of his ex-wife recent public displays of affections with Richie Sambora, the ex-husband of Heather Locklear. Denise and Heather were “best friends” prior to the recent developments. Her divorce proceedings made such news because they were quite shocking and because the story now involves four famous people, so I guess it gets four times the coverage. Even though I keep up with the news, I still have the time to learn about the trivial too.
But, on some of the matters in which you have brought up that the government is not dealing with, many of those problems can be eased, though not solved, by solving the illegal immigration problem. And the reason it is getting so much attention now is because there are millions of foreign nationals who are living in this country and demanding the right and privileges that they have not earned when they broke the law by entering this country illegally.

Thanks for trying to inspire some comment on this issue but it seems no one is interested in the truth.
As far as criminal aliens if you looked at any of Daniels previous posts you would see I have been addressing this issue for months.
As far as "...I would rather there be discussions about important matters...", it's your blog you could discuss whatever you want.
When you state you keep up with the news, I suggest that you are only keeping up with what the media determines as news. That's how we get sidetracked into this morass of mind numbing bickering.
Oh well, I tried.

Bob, yes we both tried, and although no one posted here about your comments, I did receive some emails about it. I did not receive a single email from anyone though supporting your points, although I will say that no one agreed with you that 9-11 was a conspiracy. I am sure we don’t know all the facts, but I don’t have to know why the sky is blue to know it is.
