Liberals and Big Business

I know I don’t understand liberals, but doesn’t it seem just a tad ironic that liberals are siding with big business on the illegal immigration issue? For all the Liberals and Democrats who rail on big business for its devastating effects on America and Evil Corporations, take a look at who you are getting into bed with on this issue. Please, this time I am even asking you to think like a liberal, if big business thinks it’s good, do you really think it can be good for America?

An interestingly true thought. Consider Hillary and Bill Clinton. Consider the former president Carter who founded "The Rendon Group" with another gentleman, interestingly from South America. The name Rendon is South American, Bolivian. Furthermore, all decry that it is the Republicans that are supporting 'Big Business' but I would venture to step out and say that playing field is equal.

Yes, it is quite naive to think that big business only gives money to Republicans. And remember, even though the media told us about the money that Jack Abramoff has given to Republicans, nearly 1/3rd went to Democrats.

No, it doesn't sadden me at all to know that I'm a socialist at heart. And you obviously didn't read the "Read Me" link on the side of my blog or you'd have better blog manners.

Another ignorant generalization, but at least you got this part right: "I don't understand liberals".

By the way, I'm a Senior Analyst at a Fortune 100 company, so you'll have to change your narrow view that somehow all liberals are anti-business.

Kate West, I’m sure it doesn’t sadden you to know that you are a socialist, in some respects I have a socialist side to me as well. I am the Bizarro Libertarian, but I don’t take pride in being a socialist. Socialists want the government to take care of them and believe that it is the government’s fault if life isn’t fair. Well, life isn’t fair and it our own responsibility to change our place in life not the government’s place.

Erin, don’t get me wrong, I think that liberals are in bed with many types of big business as well. But, who does the media and the general public believe sides with big business? Is it the Republicans or the Democrats? Liberals are all over the unions, but who gets blamed for supporting the oil industry or the pharmaceutical companies, and as I have been told on this site time and time again, the Republican Party is all old, rich, and white and only looks out for the interest of big businesses. There is never a rule that does not have an exception.

This is priceless.
I made one comment on Kate West’s blog and for my comment I was labeled as a “souless, heartless conservative who doesn't care about anyone other than myself or anything other than money.” Then Mrs. West comes to my blog to post a comment. In an attempt to continue the discussion I went back to her blog, but after trying to make a post I was greeted with “Banned by webmaster. Your comments will not be added.”
Funny, I thought Liberals were the champions of free speech?
