Now I am getting angry

Guest worker visas is the same as amnesty, it’s rewarding people for breaking the law and rewarding big business for caring more about profits than they do about America. Those who vote in favor of guest worker visas that would allow more than 12 million illegal aliens to stay in this country and then grant them citizenship (if they decide they want it) are traitors to America.

This may be a way of trying to control the bleeding at this point. If they become American citizens, in theory, they have to pay taxes, no more pay under the table, no more big business paying crazy low wages without reporting it. I'm not crazy about it, but I think we're to the point it's time to start making lemonade, if you catch my drift. We tend to hand out citizenship willy nilly anyway. Taneth Belbin gets fast tracked through into citizenship so the US can have a better chance at figure skating gold? Ridiculous!

I disagree. This is our last chance, it’s now or never. These people who want open borders or weak immigration laws don’t care about America, either they care more about the interests of big business or they care more about their own country which is not the U.S. Look at all the protests this week, look at all the non-U.S. flags in all these protests, these people care nothing about America, they just want to live here illegally and enjoy all the benefits that are not provided in Mexico.

I think there is some good that can come of it. Again, make the current illegals citizens, and force the issue on taxing them, and making businesses report them as employees, while at the same time, beginning a crackdown at the border and illegals who are here who don't want to become citizens are sent back. If they want the benefits, they have to play by the rules, that is a more than fair trade. At the same time, with the crackdown, we temper the massive influx, and get things back to where they should be. I realize this is a pretty idealistic solution, but saying it has to be This or That isn't much better.

The problem is that you can’t have a bill that tries to do it all. Instead they should try to pass each part separately and then the American people can see where their elected officials come down on the issues.
